Private planning, no data sales.
Teyvat Companion is a small, unofficial Genshin Impact planning beta operated by Hola4 in Gqeberha, South Africa. We use information to run, secure and improve your private planner. We do not ask for your HoYoverse password or payment details, sell personal information, or use it for targeted advertising.
1. Information we collect
Account information
If you use Google sign-in, Google supplies basic sign-in information such as your email address, account identifier, display name and profile image when available. If you use a secure email link, we collect your email address. The private owner dashboard also supports an email and app password; Supabase processes that password for authentication. The dashboard does not save it in browser storage or application logs. Supabase keeps the authentication record, linked identities and session needed to sign you in.
Planner profile and public showcase
We store the display name you choose, your nine-digit Genshin UID, inferred server, timezone, reminder time, Resin and planner settings, and selected team. Our server sends your UID to Enka.Network to retrieve information you have made public in Genshin Impact. That may include your in-game nickname, Adventure Rank, World Level, displayed characters, levels, constellations, talents, equipped weapons and artifact count.
Planner content and uploads
We store inventory names and quantities, build choices, daily, weekly and anecdote progress, wish-history entries, and feedback you submit. If you choose to upload an inventory or wish screenshot, we store the private image, its original filename, upload time and review status. Check screenshots before uploading and do not include sensitive information or someone else's personal information.
Free valuation beta
If the free valuation beta is open, you enter a UID to use the existing public Rank lookup, then declare whole-collection five-star character and weapon totals and your own USD guess before seeing an experimental estimate. The estimate is calculated on the page and is not saved as an individual valuation report. The Rank lookup has its own public-showcase cache and security controls; it may retain the UID and public Rank information separately from valuation feedback.
After seeing the estimate, you may separately opt in to sharing a reaction and choose an optional reason category. If you do, we record a grouped count by model version, five-star character total, broad five-star weapon-count band, our calculated USD estimate, a broad rounded range for your earlier guess, reaction and reason category. The feedback record contains no UID, email, screenshot, free-text comment or individual report, and stores only the date of a group's first and latest responses. Your guess and reaction are opinions, not evidence of a sale price. We use these grouped responses to see where the experimental model needs work, not to train it as if they were confirmed sales.
To limit repeated feedback, the server also keeps a short-lived, one-way derived request-identity counter separate from the research groups. It does not keep a raw IP address in that counter. Expired counters are removed when the limiter next runs; ordinary hosting and security logs are separate.
Private Pro and subscription records
Pro uses your separate Teyvat sign-in and a private UID declaration that you confirm is yours. This is self-declared, not proof of game-account ownership. We store that declaration and the account-to-Paddle customer link, including your verified sign-in email. Private billing records include provider customer, transaction, subscription and event identifiers, plan and consent references, payment amounts and periods, and Founding-offer reservations where applicable. These records help us verify payment, prevent duplicate checkout, restrict reports to the paying account, and handle cancellation, refunds and disputes.
Your confirmed whole-collection totals are sent to the server to calculate the private on-demand estimate. The initial Pro service does not save those totals as an inventory or save an individual report or screenshot history. The report is returned to your browser; it is not added to the public leaderboard. Pro inputs and reports are not automatically added to the free beta's research feedback. AI screenshot analysis and automatic revaluation are not connected yet.
Paddle handles checkout, recurring billing and payment-method details as the merchant of record. We send Paddle the verified email needed to identify your billing customer and checkout references; we do not send Paddle your game UID or collection totals. Teyvat does not store your payment-card number or security code.
Beta usage and technical information
When the guest planner is ready and visible, we count a demo visit. We also count use of planner navigation, buttons and changed controls, plus separate Explore demo button presses. Counts are daily totals for the current campaign page (Reddit, Discord, forum or direct). These counters store no visitor identifier, name, email, IP address, input values or individual event history, and do not send your sign-in session or referring page with the count. They measure approximate visits and interactions, not unique people. Reloads and new tabs can add visits. These anonymous totals are kept to understand beta interest and are not linked to accounts.
For signed-in accounts, we record signup and first-authentication times, daily totals for visits and meaningful actions, and the first beta campaign route recorded on the device, such as Reddit, Discord or a forum. Vercel Web Analytics also processes aggregated, cookieless page information, referring site, time, broad location, browser, operating system and device type. We remove query strings and fragments from analytics page URLs and group Rank UID paths rather than sending the UID. Anonymous Pro journey events count subscription-link clicks, Pro visits, price reviews, checkout openings, newly verified first payments and completed private reports. Event properties never include account identifiers, inventory, estimate amounts, credentials or payment details. These best-effort counts are not a customer or revenue ledger. Hosting, authentication and security systems may process ordinary request logs such as IP address, browser details, requested URL and timestamp.
Information on your device
Browser storage keeps you signed in and caches your public showcase, settings, planner progress, upload metadata and campaign source. Your browser may cache the generic app shell for faster or offline loading. Logging out clears this account's planner cache from the current device; other devices must be cleared separately.
2. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, load and sync planners across devices, fetch public showcase data, calculate plans and progress, store and display uploads, answer feedback, assess the free valuation beta, calculate private Pro estimates, verify paid access, support subscriptions, improve features, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
The site owner can review submitted feedback and aggregate beta activity in a restricted owner dashboard. Other players cannot read your feedback.
3. Services we use and when information is shared
We share information only as needed to operate and protect the beta, comply with law, or handle a future transfer of the service. Current service providers are:
- Supabase for authentication, database records and private file storage;
- Google when you choose Google sign-in;
- Vercel for hosting, security and aggregated Web Analytics; and
- Enka.Network, which receives the UID needed to return your public showcase.
- Paddle for Pro checkout, subscription billing, receipts, cancellation and refunds.
The app loads some game information and images from third-party sources and links to external guides. Those services receive an ordinary web request and apply their own privacy terms. We do not rent or sell personal information.
4. Storage, security and international processing
Planner rows are protected by account-level database access rules. Screenshots are stored in a private bucket and displayed through time-limited links. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Keep control of your email or Google account and log out on shared devices.
Supabase currently stores the project's primary database in the European Union. Vercel, Google, Enka.Network and other infrastructure may process information in other countries. Provider safeguards and terms apply to those transfers.
5. How long we keep information
We keep account and planner information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to run and protect the beta, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations. You can delete screenshots shown in your current upload list. Screenshots become eligible for cleanup after 30 days, but that automatic cleanup currently runs when you next open the app while signed in. If you do not return, a screenshot may remain until cleanup runs or you delete your account.
Optional valuation-beta reactions are combined into grouped counters without an individual response row. Once recorded, one person's contribution cannot be identified and removed from a group. We retain these counters while they help us evaluate the beta, and may delete the groups when that research ends.
The private Pro UID declaration is removed with your Teyvat account. Billing audit records can remain after account deletion, with the deleted authentication-account link removed, as reasonably needed for payment verification, disputes and legal obligations. Provider identifiers and a previously verified billing email may remain in those records. Paddle keeps its own records under its applicable terms. Deleting a Teyvat account does not cancel a Paddle subscription; cancel future renewals through the receipt's secure customer portal or Paddle buyer support.
Account deletion removes the active authentication account, planner rows and stored screenshots. Limited information may remain temporarily in provider backups, fraud-prevention records or security logs until it is removed under the provider's retention schedule. Browser copies on other devices remain until that device's site data is cleared.
6. Your choices and rights
You can change planner information, delete screenshots shown in the app, log out, and use Delete account and data in Settings, account setup or the profile-recovery screen to permanently delete your authentication account, planner data and private UID declaration. Billing-record exceptions are explained above. The deletion screen requires a deliberate confirmation and cannot be undone. You can clear browser data using your browser settings.
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to ask for access, correction, export, deletion, restriction or objection, or to withdraw consent. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Sign in to the planner and use its Feedback button for a privacy request.
7. Children
This beta is not directed to children who cannot lawfully consent to data processing where they live. A child should use it only with permission from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child supplied information without valid permission, contact the beta organiser and we will investigate and delete it where required.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the beta changes. We will change the effective date and provide a prominent notice when a change materially affects how personal information is used.
For product questions or privacy requests, sign in to the planner and use its Feedback button to contact Hola4. For billing, cancellation or refund help, use Paddle buyer support or the secure customer portal link in your Paddle receipt. Never send passwords or payment-card details through Feedback. South African users may also contact the Information Regulator.
